Professional Review: Opaque ruby. The Ripasso is youthful in appearance and taste with notes of red cherry, black pepper and creamy milk chocolate. It's big full-fruited, exotically flavored and delicious with mouth coating density. A classic vintage.
My Review: They weren't kidding when the Vintage Cellar's review said this wine was youthful in appearance and taste. It tasted very dry/ very high tannins. I would need this decantered for about a day (minimum) before I touched this. It was very aromatic and enjoyed it very much. Lots of Tobacco/cigar box, earthy and lots of spices. I had this wine at a tasting without a meal.
