Professional Review: This dense and concentrated Amarone offers an intense bouquet of marinated cherry, blackberry and tobacco. The palate delivers rich flavors of blackberry, prune, licorice and a touch of carob, along with round tannins and soft acidity. It has layers of flavor and nice depth.
My Review: A very aromatic wine, with lots of cherry, blackberry and tobacco on both the nose and the palate. A well balanced wine with the right amount of tannins and acids as the backbone. Great wine. Expected from the price point of $50 per bottle. A little too steep for my college student budget. I had this wine at a tasting without a meal.
